As a parent, I believe one of the most important things we can do for our children is to support them in being who they are. Children come in as a beautiful bright Light. If we do not see them, and acknowledge who they are, their Light will begin to dim. That is what happened to many of us. Our Light became dim as we were growing up, and we are now on a journey to find ourselves again.
Wouldn’t it be an amazing gift to our children, if they could stay connected to their core essence and grow up with their power, confidence, love, freedom and peace in tact?
Here are some suggestions to support that:
- Laugh and play with them. It feeds the Light within all of us.
- Be who you are. Get to know yourself. It is only from this place that you will truly be able to see who they are.
- Notice when what your children are doing creates a “trigger” in you. Rather than asking them to change who they are, find your true Self.
- Be authentic. Children feel energy.
- Communicate with them about life.
Enjoy your journey of parenting and self-discovery, and remember to have fun with it!
